Gulp one down!

Today’s beer is a Dutch treat and we chose it for the name- The Gulpener Korenwolf- how good is that!  Well it hasn’t just got a funny name it has a weasel like creature- which is actually a hamster or corn wolf as they call it for a  logo but it’s a pretty tasty beer. The beer is what Gulpener’s call a luxury wheat beer. The brewery dates back to 1825 in the town of Gulpen which is just out of Maastrich which is about an hours drive from the German city of Cologne and about 2 1/2 hours drive from Amsterdam.  The beer has 5% alcohol content. The cloudy beer has elderberry flower, corriander and a bit of orange peel giving it a very spicy taste and is well suited to lighter meats like fish and chicken and goes very well with fruit.
