Arrrr! Global warming a threat to our beer!

The beer loving community was in disarray this week with news from a group of Global Warming Boffins claiming that the changing environmental conditions may change the way we enjoy and love our beer. Researchers claim that with the rise in temperatures beer grains and other important ingredients used to produce beer will also change. Some crops will grow in different regions to previously and others may not even grow. You only need to look at the drought conditions that much of Australia has had over the past few years to see the devastating effects. Different regions mean different pests, different soil types and different water supplies. Other things like changes in water supply and quality will also affect the brewing process. But the biggest problem is prices will probably rise to cope with the change. Sounds pretty bad,, and with higher temperatures, you are going to need more beer to meet your thirst. It’s time to stop polluting, leave the big V8 in the garage and jump on the push bike and start hugging some of those things that have the bark and the leaves..um .trees -thats them! We have got to save our planet, if not for future generations – but for our future beer.
