We were doing a search for unusual beer names and came across Arrogant Bastard Ale which certainly grabbed our attention. This interestingly named beer is brewed by the Stone Brewing Company which is located in Escondido in Southern California not far from San Diego. The brewery produces two types of the Arrogant Bastard Ale, one soaked and one normal. They both deliver quiet a kick with a 7.2% alcohol volume. Stone Brewing have done some pretty clever marketing with this beer, their promotions are well arrogant and nasty to say the least- check out their website for a bit of fun. They have some great beer merchandise too. The brewery produces quiet a few other drops including a stout, some pale ales and always have a few special seasonal beers available. At the time of writing this story they are running another Arrogant Bastard Ale called Double Bastard Ale this one has a 10% alcohol volume and is a very interestingly packaged premium beer. For those wishing to visit the brewery they have an amazing setup called the Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. This beautiful setting is home to an amazing bistro which serves food from local produce and of course their beer. They also have daily brewery tours but bookings are essential.
