After talking about Beez Neez yesterday we thought we would feature a few more sensational beers from Australia this week and today we have a ripper!. Mountain Goat Brewery is a small independent brewery situated in the inner Melbourne suburb of Richmond and has been going for about 10 years. They are making a huge name for themselves with a magnificent range of beers with a real rememberable name. The brewery makes four main beers, Hightail ail which is their original brew, it is an English Style Ale and has one some pretty prestigious awards including the Best Draught Ale in 2000. They have an India Pale ale which was Australia’s first 100% certified organic beer. Surefoot Stout a rich dark beer which has won the Best Victorian Beer award in both 2004 and 2006 and our favorite the Pale Ale which has won that many trophies the cabinet must be full. This small brewery has huge distribution, with over 500 venues in the country selling bottled beer and over 30 in Melbourne serving it ice cold from the tap- If your having a beer in Australia- keep you eyes out for it and get on the goat! For those people in or visiting Melbourne make sure you drop into their new brewery at the corner of North and Clark Streets in Richmond for one of the tastiest and freshest beer your will ever taste- check their website for opening hours.
