When you are having more than one

YouTube Direct

This funky 1970’s ad above is a real classic and is for the Schaefer Brewing Company. Schaefer was founded in New York in 1842 and went on to become the longest operating brewery in New York City. The company was finally purchased by Detroit’s Stroh Brewery Company who continued to produce the Schaefer brand. Most of Stroh’s brands was eventually purchased by Milwaukee based Pabst Brewery in 1999. Allegedly the brand is still produced by Papst today although I don’t remember any evidence of it when I was around that region late last year. If you are drinking a Schaefer now let us know on the comment form below. Read the rest of this entry »

Ironically Molson is part of the merged Molson Coors Brewing Company so it is today 50 percent American owned. Coors and Molson merged in 2005 but both still produce their own unique products, it was about 2005 that Molson dropped the “I am Canadian” slogan as part of the advertising campaign that you see at the end of the ad above. The ad is awful, and the beer, well its a shandy

YouTube Direct

We have found something awful here its a ad for Green Sands Shandy and from what we can find out is a Bintang product which is a low alcohol beer laced with lime. But it’s not the beer you need to experience its the dreadful 1980’s French ad we have for you today. It is so bad, you will want to play it again. It’s got all the 80’s French erotica stereotypes and a soundtrack to match, with plenty of pastel colours, neon and over tanned, over oiled bodies. It’s enough to make you want a beer!
