Gingerbread beer man

The German’s have enjoyed gingerbread with their beer for centeries, so why not combine the two. We have found this tasty recipie for gingerbread made from beer. All you need is 2 1/2 cups of plain flour, 2 tablespoons of chopped crystalised ginger, 1 teaspoon of cinamin, 2 tablespoons of ginger powder, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 cup of your best dark beer at room temperature, 1/2 cup of molasses, 1/2 cup of oil and a beaten egg. Mix all the ingredients together let stand for about 30 minutes, roll out and bake on a baking tray in a moderate oven for about 25 minutes until golden Then decorate with some icing.
