
As the name suggests the Kronenbourg beer dates back to 1664 when an Alsatian brewery was founded in Strasbourg France. The brewery continued and changed location due to flooding and After the Second World War the Kronenbourg brewery started to expand and sell its products globally and is now one recognised for selling one of the world’s premium beer products. Although it is now owned by Scottish and Newcastle the 1664 larger has over 40% of the French beer market and is doing quiet well world wide and brewed also outside of France. The beer has a 5.0% alcohol by volume and has a malty and nutty taste. If you are ever in Strasbourg make sure you visit the brewery for the tour of its facilities.
