Budweiser Streaker

By Rocky | March 28, 2008

YouTube Direct

This You Tube video is a real classic, it was produced by the giant American Brewer Anheuser-Busch for their popular Budweiser  brand and used for the Superbowl XL. It features a football game between a heap of animals, and the star attraction like most big sporting games is the streaker. Get ready to close your eyes at the star attraction- expecially if you are from the land of the long white cloud.  Only joking!

The Carlton Skytroop

By Rocky | March 19, 2008

YouTube Direct

Australia’s Fosters Group last year brought us the epic “big” beer ad which really raised the bar in beer advertising or advertising in general. Well they have done it again with their latest big budget commercial. This time the star attraction (other than the ice cold Carlton Draught) is the Carlton Skytroop entertaining the crowds at the half time at a sporting event, things didn’t quiet go to plan as you will see,- wonder if a little too much of the good nectar was the problem?

Another Japanese classic ad

By Rocky | March 7, 2008

YouTube Direct

We haven’t featured a Japanese Beer ad for a while and thought it was about time, because there are so many interesting ones. This one is for the tasty Sapporo Beer, Ive got no idea what the ad is about just some lovely Japanese girls laughing at their guys in cardboard godzilla costumes. What are these advertising companies on- probably Sapporo.. Sit back and enjoy.

Oh the Humanity

By wattsy | February 18, 2008

YouTube Direct

Ah its the classic tale of a beer truck losing its load and everyone chipping in to help clear the freeway of stock. I thought this was an urban myth or it only happened to Homer Simpson, but here is video proof that free beer can be found on roadside. So how is the driver? Well who knows and who cares as were sure these opportunistic foke never bothered to check.

Beer must be consumed in moderation

By Rocky | February 14, 2008

YouTube Direct

We thought this would be a good ad for Valentines Day today, Well its not a very political correct ad, or very nice but its funny. This guy wakes up after a big night and it was a little bigger than he had planned. The ad is for not from Germany as the name Bergenbier might suggest but from Romania. The beer is a clear golden beer with a touch of hops and malt in its aroma you can even smell a hint of lemon. It’s 4.8% and tastes like many of the Eastern European Pils style beers. The ad has caused a bit of controversy which has helped establish the brand throughout Europe a very smart move by the advertising company it has had over 130,000 views on YouTube alone.  And our message from this ad- when you have had a skin full  just be careful who follows you home!  Happy Valentines Day 2008!

The ad is awful, and the beer, well its a shandy

By Rocky | February 4, 2008

YouTube Direct

We have found something awful here its a ad for Green Sands Shandy and from what we can find out is a Bintang product which is a low alcohol beer laced with lime. But it’s not the beer you need to experience its the dreadful 1980’s French ad we have for you today. It is so bad, you will want to play it again. It’s got all the 80’s French erotica stereotypes and a soundtrack to match, with plenty of pastel colours, neon and over tanned, over oiled bodies. It’s enough to make you want a beer!

Arrrrrr! Beer Thief!

By Rocky | January 28, 2008

YouTube Direct

There’s nothing worse than having your beer stolen, then again its only Bud Light. Today’s You Tube is quiet a funny one and you don’t know who gets the most traumatic experience the girl or the guy. Probably the guy. Bud Light has had some great commercials and with the Superbowl only days away you can bet they will have a cracker lined up, hopefully we will be able to feature it soon. Bud Light was only launched back in 1982 and has become America’s favorite beer; to keep up with demand it is brewed at all of Anheuser-Busch’s 12 breweries in the USA. The beer is called light because of its low carbohydrates, it is a full strength beer (in American Terms) with 4.2% alcohol volume, and is brewed using all natural ingredients, just water, barley, malt, hops, rice and of course yeast.

A perfect way to celebrate Australia Day!

Amazing 70,000 beer cans in the house

By Rocky | January 19, 2008

YouTube Direct

Here’s a news story which could only happen in America. A perfect tenant has moved out of a quiet neighborhood and left a little surprise for the real estate agent- 70,000 beer cans. They were over a metre high all through the house and in some places in boxes up to the roof. The guy liked a beer, but didn’t seem to think the empty can should go in the trash- he might have been waiting for one of those cash a can days. The 70,000 cans were all Coors Light and the tenant lived in the house for 8 years which means he must have knocked off about a slab of cans every day he was there. As you can see from the You Tube news report they ended up tracing down he man, he doesn’t touch the stuff any more, maybe because he’s too lazy to open the can? who knows.
