Tooheys Pils

Pils is one or the new breed of boutique beers launched by the Lion Nathan Tooheys group. This beer has a special Saaz hops added during its brewing process from the Czech Republic which gives it a refreshing crisp and hoppy finish, with very strong hints of orange or citrus and a lingering after taste. It is only sold in 5.2 % alcohol vol, long neck stubbies and is seen in many a boutique beer fridge at hotels across Australia.

Update 09: Tooheys Pils is now using Hallertau hops instead of the saaz hops it used when it was released.

Bodders, thanks for the spelling tip…Rocky’s fat sausages love a typo. By the way, since we did this post the Pills has changed from Saaz to Hallertau Hops.
