Prickly Moses is one of the new microbrewery brands popping up all over Australia. This one comes from the beautiful Otways on the Victorian South Eastern coast. Produced by renowned winemakers Otway Estate the beer is on of several boutique beers made at their micro brewery. The brewery has been producing fine beers for about a year and already have won awards for their brews including a Silver medal, 2008 Australian International Beer Show for their Summer Ale. The Summer Ale is a golden ale which has a certain clean freshness, its crisp and has a dry finish which some hints of citrus and tropical fruits. The beer is naturally fermented and contains no preservatives and the best thing is it uses water from the magnificent Otways which is crystal clear. The beer is starting to make inroads to pubs and restaurants around Victoria and can even be found on tap in some establishments- look out for it- you cant miss the prickly echidna logo.
