Australia’s Midstrenghts

With the introduction of responsible serving of alcohol and the tough drink driving rules many Australian pubs are offering mid strength beers. These beers usually contain around 3% – 3.5% compared with the normal 4.9% – 5.0%.  The new mid strength beers loose none of the taste of their full strength cousins and are very popular especially in the New South Wales and Queensland where the 425ml Schooner glasses are popular. A couple of regular strength schooners will put most drivers pretty close or over the legal limit of .05% for driving.
