Kirin is one of the largest beer names in Japan and their premium product Kirin Ichiban is available in most countries around the world, being brewed under license in several centres outside Japan. This beer has a 4.9% alcohol content and a is quiet frothy with a very smooth but light sweet and fruity flavour. The Kirin Company claim they use a luxurious single wort or first press to obtain the complex light golden beer. The Kirin Ichiban goes great with any type of food, especially seafood and light oriental flavours, this beer is really at its best when it is served chilled a little colder than the average beer.
