A beer from Taiwan

 When you think of Asian beers you usually think of the popular Japanese Beers or even China’s Tsingtao but Taiwanese beer should also be on your shopping list, they make a really good drop and it has won some very presteigious awards. The beer is brewed by Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation and starting in Taipei just after the Second World War Tawan Beer is a 4.5% pilsener style beer which has a German taste. They are exported and the bright green bottles can be found in plenty of places around the world, so try your local bottle shop. Recently the beer won medals in both London and Brussels beer awards against some pretty stiff competiton. Locally the beer makes up nearly 80% of Taiwan’s 1.3 billion dollar beer market.
