Molson Export from North America’s oldest brewery in Canada is know as the Armadillo Beer, Amadillo, you may ask, well it seems when you put the bottle on its side the ship on the label takes on the appearance of the plates on an armadillo’s back… heard it all now eh? Well anyway the Molson products make up about 40% of Canada’s beer market and the Export is a ale which uses traditional ale yeast and hasn’t really changed for over 200 years, but the brand dates back to 1903. It has a slightly sweet yet robust flavor and is made from malted barley and special Nugget and Kent hops which help produce the rich colour. The beer has won plenty of the world’s most prestigious beer awards and is well worth a try next time you visit the local or a bottleo.
