America’s oldest brewery

The Yuengling Brewery or D.G. Yuengling & Sons of Pottsville, Pennsylvania is regarded as the oldest operating brewery company in the United States dating back to 1829, and is the 6th largest brewery in the country producing around 1.2 million barrels of beer a year. Today it brews in both Pennsylvania and in Tampa Florida. The company produces quiet a range of products but the flagship is the lager which is very popular in the North Atlantic states, especially in the 22 ounce bomber bottles.

Both the Pottsville and Tampa breweries offer tours of their huge plants which is a must for any beer lover. As with any great brewery tour it ends up at the bar where you can sample the fantastic range of beers and a good gift shop for you to buy that something special as a reminder of your fun day.
